4:1 [hgb] 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 ， 那 日 临 近 ， 势 如 烧 着 的 火 炉 。 凡 狂 傲 的 和 行 恶 的 必 如 碎 秸 。 在 那 日 必 被 烧 尽 ， 根 本 枝 条 一 无 存 留 。

[kjv] for, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

[bbe] for see, the day is coming, it is burning like an oven; all the men of pride and all who do evil will be dry stems of grass: and in the day which is coming they will be burned up, says the lord of armies, till they have not a root or a branch.

4:2 [hgb] 但 向 你 们 敬 畏 我 名 的 人 ， 必 有 公 义 的 日 头 出 现 。 其 光 线 有 医 治 之 能 （ 光 线 原 文 作 翅 膀 ） 。 你 们 必 出 来 跳 跃 ， 如 圈 里 的 肥 犊 。

[kjv] but unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

[bbe] but to you who give worship to my name, the sun of righteousness will come up with new life in its wings; and you will go out, playing like young oxen full of food.

4:3 [hgb] 你 们 必 践 踏 恶 人 。 在 我 所 定 的 日 子 ， 他 们 必 如 灰 尘 在 你 们 脚 掌 之 下 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。

[kjv] and ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that i shall do this, saith the lord of hosts.

[bbe] and the evil-doers will be crushed under you, they will be dust under your feet, in the day when i do my work, says the lord of armies.

4:4 [hgb] 你 们 当 记 念 我 仆 人 摩 西 的 律 法 ， 就 是 我 在 何 烈 山 ， 为 以 色 列 众 人 所 吩 咐 他 的 律 例 典 章 。

[kjv] remember ye the law of moses my servant, which i commanded unto him in horeb for all israel, with the statutes and judgments.

[bbe] keep in mind the law of moses, my servant, which i gave him in horeb for all israel, even the rules and the decisions.

4:5 [hgb] 看 哪 ， 耶 和 华 大 而 可 畏 之 日 未 到 以 前 ， 我 必 差 遣 先 知 以 利 亚 到 你 们 那 里 去 。

[kjv] behold, i will send you elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the lord:

[bbe] see, i am sending you elijah the prophet before the day of the lord comes, that great day, greatly to be feared.

4:6 [hgb] 他 必 使 父 亲 的 心 转 向 儿 女 ， 儿 女 的 心 转 向 父 亲 ， 免 得 我 来 咒 诅 遍 地 。

[kjv] and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest i come and smite the earth with a curse.

[bbe] and by him the hearts of fathers will be turned to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers; for fear that i may come and put the earth under a curse.
